Our History

Brisbee & Stockton was founded in 1951 by attorneys Carrell Bradley and Paul Patterson. Mr. Patterson ultimately turned his focus to politics and became Governor of the State of Oregon in 1952. As the years progressed, Mr. Bradley brought new attorneys into the firm and the foundation for legal excellence was created. In 1964, the firm built its office building across the street from the Washington County Courthouse, where it still stands. From 1993 to 2019, the firm was known as Brisbee & Stockton in recognition of many years of high quality legal representation provided by Larry Brisbee and William Stockton.

For the future, Brisbee & Stockton remains committed to the defense of civil lawsuits. The firm has a mix of highly experienced and young attorneys dedicated to continuing its long tradition of providing legal services of the highest quality. In striving to forge long-term relationships with our current clients, and by carefully selecting new clients, we expect to provide sound legal advice and services that our clients can depend upon for years to come.
